At the beginning of March, just as it dawns on me that I have not kept my New Year’s Resolution to exercize 5 days a week, I make a new committment which I usually keep. (I am starting to think that the Heavens above intended Winter as a time to rest because when faced with getting up on a snowy cold morning by intuition always tells me to crawl back into bed!) So, March 1 to June marks my return to active good health. I do the treadmill, yoga, pick up my tennis raquet and get back to work. My dogs pace around as I pound the machine . . . the look in their eyes saying can’t we do this outside! “No, it is freezing and that has been my excuse all winter and that is why I have brought the treadmill into my bedroom! Take your own walk you have a fur coat!” All the frustrations of winter come out as I take each step on the treadmill — I shout my mantra “I am healthy, I am happy, I am thin, I am beautiful, I am rich, I am successful, I am at home with my kids, I have a house in Ireland, I have a housekeeper and a cook, everybody loves me, and my book is done!” This a mantra you can adapt for you and I share that in my new book that really is almost coming out! wowowo! Shooting for 145, I am tall and jeepers past 40 so no complaints!!
